Refers to computer systems that learn from data and make context-based judgments to perform tasks such as understanding language, answering questions, executing tasks, recognizing patterns, solving problems or generating text or media. Unlike traditional software that follows fixed rules, AI systems adapt their outputs based on patterns learned during training and ongoing reinforcements. The most visible examples today are Large Language Models (LLMs), which are powerful models trained on vast amounts of data, and Small Language Models (SLMs), which are lighter and designed to run on smaller devices or at lower cost.
